This Classic Beef Tacos recipe is a crowd-pleasing favourite that brings bold flavours to your table in just 30 minutes. Featuring our organic minced beef simmered in a glossy, spice-infused sauce, these tacos are perfectly balanced by fresh toppings like crisp lettuce, juicy tomatoes, and a zesty lime finish. It is an ideal, effortless meal for busy weeknights or casual weekend gatherings.

Ingredients
  • Wye Organic Minced Beef
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder & 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Salt & 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 100ml Beef stock (or water).
  • 12 small Corn or Flour Tortillas.
  • Toppings: Shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, pickled jalapeños, sour cream, grated cheddar and lime juice.


Method
  1. Heat a large skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, until it’s fully browned and slightly crispy (about 6–8 minutes). Drain off the excess fat if there’s too much.
  2. Toast the Spices: Add your spice mix and the tomato paste directly to the meat. Stir for 1 minute.
  3. Pour in the beef stock and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 3–5 minutes until the liquid has thickened into a glossy sauce that coats the meat.
  4. Char the Tortillas: While the meat simmers, quickly heat your tortillas in a dry pan for 30 seconds per side until they are soft and slightly charred. Keep them warm in a clean tea towel.
  5. Assemble! Spoon a generous amount of beef into each tortilla and pile high with your favourite toppings. A squeeze of fresh lime at the end for us is non-negotiable!
